All batteries are not created equal... I recently went to my local drug store to purchase size 13 batteries for my hearing aids. Energizer batteries were what where put in my hearing aids when I purchased them, so I wanted to buy the same thing. However, my drug store was out of Energizer in the size I needed. I purchased the store's own brand as I needed batteries. What a difference between their brand and Energizer's. Their brand falls out of my hearing aids and they only lasted 4 days!! Energizer fits my hearing aids best and they last much longer. I will not stock up on yours so I am not compromized again. I took the store brand back and exchanged them. May 9, 2012
The convient package is the best I really like the conience of the dial packaging. It can be carried in your pocket, your wife's purse, in the car console without concern for them falling out of the package. The batteries have the dial so when you're ready to change your aide battery, you just take out the old battery, dial up a new one and it slides right into the compartment! May 3, 2012
The design of this product is very Continent. I like this packaging of batteries because with the dial and snap shut feature I can take out a battery and put the old one in its place and not have loose batteries in the bottom of my bag. May 2, 2012

I have been using this product for some time now and I like the product When I need hearing aid batteries for the hearing aid I wear in my right ear I most often get the energizer hearing aid batteries as they have done me good when I needed hearing aid batteries. I have tried ither brands that didn;t work as well as these. May 1, 2012
This product is the best. Have you ever experienced the frustration of not being able to HEAR? This happens before you secure good hearing aids. It also can happen when you do not have the proper batteries. One may not have the proper batteries when they are dumped on the slanted floor in a movie theater and roll freely down between the person's feet in front of you or maybe several rows down because you did not have rhe Energizer package. Maybe your batteries did not dump out and you are not in the movie with a slanted floor, just maybe the batteries have become weak and are not providing the appropriate 'juice' needed for the appropriate volumn to provide the performance needed. Or just maybe you were not getting the value as you get in Energizer, thus the change you have will not replace the battery needed right now. I can guarentee these thing not happening when you use Energizers. April 30, 2012

  1. How should I dispose of hearing aid and zinc air batteries?
    Zinc air batteries can and should be disposed of in your normal trash and not accumulated.  Accumulating batteries can lead to risk of fire.
  2. Should I open the door on my hearing aid when it's not in use?
    Yes – it is a good idea to open the battery door on your hearing aid when you are not using it. This stops battery drain and may allow air in to remove any moisture buildup.
  3. How should I store my batteries for best hearing aid battery life?
    To get maximum hearing aid battery life, keep batteries at room temperature. Heat can shorten hearing aid battery life and a damp location like the refrigerator is not recommended. Also, never carry loose batteries in your pocket or purse. Contact with metal items like keys or coins can short-circuit the battery.
  4. The battery doesn’t seem to work the right way – is something wrong?
    Energizer® Hearing Aid batteries take about a minute to power up. That’s because that’s how long it takes for the outside air to penetrate the battery’s tiny air holes and mix with the battery’s zinc chemistry to power your hearing aid.
  5. What are the common hearing aid battery sizes?
    The most common battery sizes are 10, 13, 312 and 675. To make recognition easier, most manufacturers color code hearing aid batteries according to industry standards:  10—yellow   13—orange   312—brown   675—blue.
  6. Why does my hearing aid battery have a tab?
    Zinc air hearing aid batteries use outside air as a source of power. The tab seals the zinc in the battery from exposure to air, ensuring freshness when purchased. After you remove the tab, the battery takes about a minute to charge fully and be ready for use. Do not remove the tab until you are ready to use the battery. Once the tab is pulled and the zinc is exposed to air, replacing the tab will not extend the battery life.

  7. How do I get the best performance from my hearing aid batteries?
    To get the best performance, keep moisture from clogging the air hole by opening the hearing aid compartment every night. Turning your hearing aid off when not in use can also help get the best hearing aid battery life possible.
  8. Are hearing aid batteries interchangeable among manufacturers?
    Battery dimensions are standardized across all brands. All sizes are the same—just look for the color standard to find your battery size.
  9. How long is the expected life of my hearing aid battery?
    Hearing aid battery life is determined by length of use during the day, amplification and type of hearing aid. Consult your hearing care professional to determine length of hearing aid battery life.
  10. Why hasn't there been a hearing aid battery dispenser like Energizer® EZ Change® before?
    Previously, manufacturers have been concerned primarily with improving battery capacity. But we found the biggest frustration was with dispensing the batteries, taking off the tabs, and then handling and placing the battery into the hearing aid. Energizer created the EZ Change® hearing aid battery dispenser to make replacing tiny hearing aid batteries simpler.
  11. Besides dispensing batteries, are there other benefits to Energizer® EZ Change®?
    Yes. Energizer® EZ Change® removes the old battery, eliminating the handling of tabs; keeps batteries more secure so fewer fall from the package into your purse or pocket; and precisely places the battery in your hearing aid every time.
  12. Can I still use my hearing aid battery caddie with Energizer® EZ Change®?
    No. The Energizer® EZ Change® dispenser removes the tab automatically. Once the battery is dispensed, it will start working.  The convenient EZ Change® packaging takes the place of your hearing aid battery caddie.

  16. When I change the battery, do I put the old one back into the Energizer® EZ Change®?
    No. Just dispose of it so it won’t get mixed with the fresh batteries still in the Energizer® EZ Change®, or affect the dispenser’s function.
  17. What should I do if when I inserted my battery, the magnet pulled it back out?
    The battery will slide off, and stay in the hearing aid, if you pull the magnet in the opposite direction of the door opening. Alternatively, you can keep the thumb slide in the forward position during insertion.
  18. Can I use the magnet to pull out the old battery?
    You sure can. In fact, the Energizer® EZ Change® removes old batteries just as easily and precisely as it inserts new ones
  19. Is Energizer® EZ Change® refillable?
    No. Energizer® EZ Change® is disposable and not refillable.
  20. Will the magnetic tip of the Energizer® EZ Change® affect the batteries or my hearing aid?
    No. The magnetic part of the Energizer® EZ Change® is only strong enough to hold the battery during insertion. It’s not powerful enough to cause any performance problems with either the batteries or your hearing aid. We guarantee it.
  21. What should I do if I'm having trouble holding on to the Energizer® EZ Change®?
    The colored base of the Energizer® EZ Change® has ridges that provide a gripping surface. In addition, the clear cover also has ridges that can be used for turning as well as gripping. And, if need be, the magnetic arm can be used as a lever to turn the clear cover of the Energizer® EZ Change®.
  22. How can I keep the used tabs from jamming up inside the Energizer® EZ Change®.
    If the used tabs impede normal use of the Energizer® EZ Change®, simply turn the clear top of the Energizer® EZ Change® back and forth to get tabs to retreat.
  23. My Energizer® EZ Change® won't turn. What's wrong?
    Make sure you have the activator bar all the way back—otherwise it stays in the locked position.
  24. Is my hearing aid battery guaranteed?

  25. Are the batteries in Energizer® EZ Change® fresher?
    Energizer® EZ Change® tabbing material is the same material as on Energizer's perforated packs. But with Energizer® EZ Change®, you don't have to touch the tabs—the dispenser pulls the battery off the material when a battery is dispensed and the tab stays inside the dispenser. As with all zinc air batteries, full power will be reached in about a minute.

  27. Why is having Zero Mercury important?
    Mercury is a naturally occurring substance that aids battery conductivity and stabilizes internal materials.  And even though mercury provides a positive internal benefits in hearing aid batteries, there is also a perceived negative environmental impact.  While the technology has been in development since the 1990's and through continuous improvement we are now able to launch a zero mercury product that is similar to our performance of mercury containing product.
  28. Can I recycle the hearing aid battery packaging?
    The EZ Turn & Lock package is 100% recyclable. (EZ Change? Tear Pack?)
  29. How do I dispense batteries from the EZ Turn & Lock package?
    The EZ Turn & Lock dial audibly clicks and tangibly locks into place when a battery is rotated into position. Pull open the tab on the back of the card to dispense the battery. Other batteries will not dispense unless the EZ Turn & Lock dial is rotated again to the next battery position.
