Engergizer A23 battery of no assurance
hi, I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Last year, I complained on A27 battery. Now, even the A23 failed.
Last month, my daughter in Malaysia was caught with her bad performing car alarm remote controller. After trying 15 minutes at the outdoor open carpark, thanks God, at least it worked for once to bring her home from 20 over km away.
That Energizer battery in the remote controller was only installed bought and intalled for few months. Later when I tested, found the voltage was less than 7 volts for a 12 volt battery.
I then tested the voltage of a GP battery and used it. When I looked at the packing, GP packing shows the expiry date but not my other Energizer battery.
Beware, when we buy battery.

Dont buy the A23 battery
My garage door opener remotes operate off of one A23 battery. I should have learned my lesson by now on buying the Energizer brand A23. My past experiences are these batteries are weak even if they have a good date on them. I usually have to be very close to the garage door to get them to open the door. I thought I would try it one more time so this evening I bought another 2pk of A23's. I came home and immediately installed the battery in to a remote. Guess what, It's dead. I checked to make sure I had it installed the correct way and it was correct. I checked my contacts and they also are fine. I took out the battery and put it back in a few more times and still nothing. I put in the other new battery and it works. So with buying the 2 pk, only one battery is working and I once again have spent my money on a product that I knew I should not have bought. These A23 batteries in my opinion are a total waste of money. Every other size of Energizer battery I have used have been excellent but not the A23.

Love to find rechargeable with charging adapter
I have the alkaline A23. I have replaced 98% of my household batteries to rechargeable (better value & greener) but am having trouble finding this one. It appears I would also need to purchase a charging adapter for this size but would consider it, depending on cost. This battery originally came with my ceiling fan remote control and lasted maybe 2 years.

Got laundered.
my husband left his key fob in his pants before putting them in the laundry basket. Not only did the fob go through the complete wash cycle but it also went through the dryer! I couldn't believe it, but it still worked and the only reason why I can think of is because it had an energizer battery in it! Performance rating? How about an A+++

Garage Door
These batteries have an extremely long life. I use them in my outdoor garage door opener and the batteries last for 5 years between changing them.

LOOOOOOONNNGGG Life Battery!
When the Energizer bunny says it keeps going and going and going, that's not just a commercial catch phrase. Recently I purchased a twin pack of A23 batteries for a ceiling fan remote control device, only to discover the switch had inadvertantly been turned off, and the original battery was fine! That got me thinking, and I realized that battery had been going and going and going for almost 8 years! That's real value for a battery that cost less than $2, but if it ever does stop working, I've got 2 replacements ready to hop into action!

Won't let me down when needed
Tornado's hit our area, and power was lost for a brief time.
The "Bunny" came thru for us when we needed the batteries the most. We keep all sizes of the batteries for emergency. They have never let us down yet. thanks
