Does not measure up to the 8x AA batteries I bought the 9x AA for my camera and in a couple of hrs had to replace them, I was shocked, I bought another package of the 9x and again 2hrs later had to replace them. So I went back and bought the 8x and I have replaced them maybe once in the last 2 and 1/2 month. So don't by the 9x it a junk product. Only buy the Energizer® Ultimate Lithium 8x it is a FAR SUPERIOR PRODUCT. July 22, 2012
Always ready when you are These batteries are the best. I put the AA Ultimate Lithium batteries in and don't have to worry about them not working when needed. I even thought it was way past time for new ones but these were still going strong! What ever I use them in I expect to work when I am ready to use it and with these batteries it always does, they are the most dependable battery I know of. June 23, 2012
top notch product!! I love these batteries, they keep my camera ready to go at the drop of a hat!! I'm a picture taker at all times, so I need it to be ready...These batts last forever and keep my ready!! I love them!! June 19, 2012
7 days in xbox controller theses very expensive batteries were suppose to last 9x longer but when they were put in a xbox controller only lasted 7 days. i am very disappointed that i didnt just buy safeway brand batteries i could have got 16 batteries for the same price! June 16, 2012
No more "Mommy, My game is dead!" Having 4 kids each with their own favorite handheld video games that run on batteries can get extremely expensive. Before using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, the kids were constantly asking for new batteries at least once a day. I love that I don't have to hear "Mommy my batteries are dead." Game systems seemed to just drain the batteries once I replaced them, but not with Energizer! June 15, 2012
Keeping the power in gaming. As a family with a tech loving preschool, I need to keep his toys and my gaming devices powered up. We need batteries that have long lasting energy so we're not wasting money constantly replacing. These Energizer Ultimate Lithium kept my son's wireless controller powered for hours of game play over many days. I plan on using them for other high energy draining devices like me camera and his toys June 15, 2012
My Go-To Batteries I have always trusted Energizer batteries, and use them in products all throughout my house. Sometimes I have concerns about using a rechargeable battery since they don't always have the same "oomph" as a traditional battery and I need the power of a traditional battery. So the Ultimate Lithium is perfect because it lasts longer (reducing battery waste) but carries that extra power I need! June 15, 2012
It keeps going and going ... I have used a Variety of Batteries over the course of the year...And no matter what brand I used, They seemed to only last a few days/weeks (I have a 5 year old). When it comes to MY toys (my digital camera still takes AA batteries) I only use a Brand that I trust - and that is Energizer! I was pleasantly surprised when this line held up to the claims it made about lasting longer. June 14, 2012

Exhausted on Digital Camera but OK for

When ultimate lithium AA batteries show out of charge on my Pentax digital SLR camera, they still show as 'good' on my battery tester and work in a flashlight. Why is this?

Answer:
A flat battery has a high internal resistance. It can still work at low current, for a device that doesn't take a lot of whack. It is like having a resistor connected between the device and the battery. A radio can often run on flat batteries - I used to collect them for this purpose. Reason - a radio uses a few milliamps and a digital camera is a television camera, it takes a few amps. So the digital camera would cause a flat battery to drop the voltage down to nothing, the radio wouldn't.

Answer:
Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Digital camera is very powerful and can drain a battery down very quick, depending on how many features or options you use. The open circuit voltage of a lithium battery can be very misleading. The condition (remaining capacity) of a lithium type battery cannot be determined with a voltmeter; the 1.5 volt reading does not indicate a good or bad lithium battery. Most battery testers are not much better since they are calibrated for alkaline battery chemistry. The flashlight might be working because the battery might still be strong enough for that device.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Our Ultimate Lithium batteries actually have a 15yr shelf life, and our Advanced Lithium have a 10yr shelf life. If you are using these batteries in a high drain device (which they are designed for) they should last a bit longer then our Alkaline. If you don’t use them and are stored properly, you should get some decent service out of them. Just keep an eye on the use by date.

Answer:
Ultimate Lithium batteries are not rechargeable. Lithium batteries work best in high drain devices like gaming systems, music players and digital cameras. You may be thinking of lithium ion, a rechargeable battery type. Ultimate Lithium and Advanced Lithium batteries should be disposed of properly when they are fully used.

Did you improve the actual capacity in the new ULs, or was the improvement achieved by flatter discharge curves? If the former, what's the difference in capacity in mAh between the old and new ones, measured at 0.1 A discharge rate?

Answer:
3100 mAh from the data sheet. These batteries are much more effective than AA alkalines (2900 mAh) at high current drains (> 200 mA) and low temperatures(<5F). Yet at low drain rates and room temps they are not much longer lasting and certainly not cost effective. Hence, they should be purchased only if the drain rates are high or the temps are very cold. Then you will save a bundle and not have to change baterries as often.

Thank you for your great question! The Ultimate Lithium batteries may work very well in your flashlight. We suggest checking with the manufacturer of the light to see what they suggest to use for batteries as they have probably done extensive testing on the best battery to use in their product. Hope this helps. Any additional questions, let us know here or give us a call at 1.800.383.7323.

Why are these batteries not rechargeable?

I have never heard of lithium ion batteries not being rechargeable, why is this the case? Is it due to the fact there is no protecting circuit in the battery which makes it cheaper to manufacture?

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. In sense you are correct, Lithium ION batteries ARE rechargeable batteries. However, our AA/AAA and 9v Lithium batteries are Lithium IRON, so there is a different chemical make up on the two batteries. I do apologize for the confusion.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding our E2 vs the Ultimate and Advanced, there is no difference. When Energizer came out with the Lithium battery the packaging read E2, this was just a marketing design (e-square). Over time the packaging changed over and it was no longer part of the package.
