No complaints! I have been using the same 9V in my keypad door locks for years. It gets charged every few months and never fails. May 1, 2012
This product lives up to the energizer' bunny's reputation! This is the only battery I consider,it is long lasting and can be recharged.I collect toys and I can verify that it makes the toys perform better, some are in a hard place to access so the less amount of times I have to replace them is a big plus in my book! May 1, 2012
Rechargeable batteries I think entergizer Rechargeable batteries are Awesome! oUR FAMILY DOESN'T USE ANY OTHER. lAST LONG IN ALL OUR VIDEO AND PHOTO BATTERIE REQUIREING DEVICES. WOULDN'T WANT TO SPEND OUR MONEY ON ANY THING LESS THAN ENERGIZER. tHANKS! April 30, 2012
Fire Proof This battery keeps our smoke dectectors in great working order, gives us peace of mind. January 13, 2012
9 volt trusted battery for power outages When we have storms that knock power out for days, the one thing you don't want is a device with no power.I live in an area where we have many storms causing power outages and we depend on flash lights and radios. The Energizer re-chargeable battery has never let us down, they seem to have a nice long power supply when charged. January 4, 2012
Dependable The only battery I would use in my smoke detectors. January 1, 2012
This product lasts a long time. I use the 9V Energizer in my alarm/radio clock. The electricity frequently goes out in my home area. My job was literally saved this past week when my electricity was out, but my alarm went off as usual waking me up so I could get ready for work. Thanks, Energizer! December 26, 2011
A modern miracle Naysayers, beware...I didn't believe that a 9 volt was recharageable, but I stand corrected. This battery is very very handy, useful, and durable! December 22, 2011

Answer:
No. The self discharge rate and voltage characteristics during discharge do not make rechargeable batteries suitable for smoke alarms not designed for rechargeable batteries. The owner's manual of the smoke alarm should be checked for recommended battery types.

After recharging our 9V battery and placing it into a microphone it usually lasts about 3 hours before it dies. Is this normal?

Answer:
I have been using this product for a couple of years to power the wireless unit for my electric bass.

If I am playing a long session, I get 3.5 to 4 hours per charge of steady, consistent power; then it drops off and out instantly when it goes. My solution is to change out to a spare one at about 3 hours into the useage.

If I am just practicing 1.5 hrs in a night, I get about 2.5 to 3 days of useage per charge.

I don't know if this is the level promised or not, but I have not found a better rechargable.

I rotate two, recharging daily, and the batteries themselves last me about a year before they need to be replaced.

I hope this is helpfull. :-)

Hi Rich, thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding the 9v NIMH battery there are a lot of things that could be causing this battery to operate low. I would recommend calling our customer service department so we may gather a bit more information on the charger as well, and so that we may assist you under the terms of our guarantee.

Thanks for your question. The 9 volt Recharge battery (NH22) uses 7 NiMH 175 mAh button cells in series. Energizer does not offer these unit cells separately.

NiCad batteries use a different battery technology. We recommend that you only use NiMH batteries with a charger specifically designed for NiMH batteries.

Thank you for your great question! I apologize about this inconvenience but unfortunately, there is no expiration date on a rechargeable battery but they do have a five year shelf life. Since I do not know when this was purchased I would recommend purchasing a new battery. Hope this helps. Any additional questions, let us know here or give us a call at 1.800.383.7323.

Answer:
Thank you for your great question. I would like to apologize about this but it seems as though the battery is not accepting a charge correctly. I think the problem may be that this is an older battery. The 7.2V rechargeable 9V is an obsolete battery. We have upgraded the battery to 8.4V. Hope this helps. Any additional questions, let us know here or give us a call at 1.800.383.7323.
