Not what I expected
Bought 6 D batteries to use in our daughters baby swing so we would have 2 sets. Very disappointing barely operates swing when they are fully charged throw in rayovac alkaline batteries and the swing runs like a champ. Checked the voltage on fully charged batteries and they only measure 1.355v compared to 1.61v for the rayovacs. Then I notived the small print on the battery that said 1.2v since when is a D battery anything but 1.5v.

Not For a Baby Swing!
My baby loves his swing and we use it often. I was having to buy batteries every 2 weeks, so I thought the rechargeable batteries would be more convenient and possibly save us money. Wrong. They last for one day of use. So frustrating to have to charge them every day and make sure to have a spare set to swap out while they charge for 14 hours. I can't believe I wasted so much money on them. =c(

Rechargables have been around for decades
Starting using rechargables back in the 70's but back them there was not a lot of uses for them. So I did not use them as much. Now forty years later I have battery operated everthing.
I am tired of buying, using, and throwing away or recylcing such a large number of batteries each year.
I have replaced all my aa,aaa batteries in 2012 and am replacing all my D and 9 volt in 2013. They will not work in everything in the home (read your equiptment instructions before you buy). I would NEVER use them on life safety devices such as smoke detector or carbon monoxide detectors. I recommend the universal charger, works great for all sizes.

This product did not meet my expectations.
I used alkaline "D" batteries in a Primos Game Camera and got 2 weeks tops so decided to get rechargeable. These Energizer D2 lasted 3 days. When fully charged they show 70% on startup. Not what I expected.

Very suitable for electronics
The actual DC Voltage output from these energizer recharge batteries is just below the nominal 1.5 of a standard lead/acid (actually 1.2 NH15 rate) but it maintains that voltage for a longer period of discharge time whereas a standard or even Calcium begins to drop from the first discharge point in a decreasing slop/rate over a shorter distance in time than the Energizer Recharge does. Plus, once charged, the shelf life is very good.

Love the fact that they are rechargeable
If I could change one thing, the charge would last longer.
