prone to refusing to charge
I have found many of the AA and AAA battteries will show as defective when put into a charger after a few uses. Thus the charger will NOT charge the battery(s) in question.

Very Happy with these
I am still using the same batteries I purchased 4 years ago and they are still strong. I don't particularly like paying $3 a piece for these but how can you complain when looking at the long term?
BUT make sure to use a quality charger! My wife bought me one of the 8 hour auto chargers from Energizer last year and it just doesn't charge the batteries near long enough. I recommend staying away from it and get the better charger. It also gives false BAD battery indicators frequently.
If your batteries aren't lasting very long look at your charger first, not the batteries.

I love them
I bought 2 packs of these and I power my mouse and keyboard along with my wii controlers and I have 1 charger and I never run out of batteries. I love mine and I would recommend them to everyone! They save you money on batteries yearly!!!!

Won't hold a charge.
High capacity batteries are a great idea. Charge them up, and know that they'll run for a long time. Unfortunately, they have to be able to hold a charge; these batteries are great early in their life, but give it a year or two, and they won't.
I would suggest skipping the high capacity batteries, and looking at lower capacity, but higher reliability, 1800-2000 mAh batteries instead. In my experience, these will hold a charge for much longer (and will continue to give good service for longer) making them far better value in the long run.

Excellent. Purchased to use in hand held GPS
I was quite surprised to see so many negative reviews. I just do not think that they were all genuine.
Originally I purchased the charger with the 1300mah batteries knowing the 2300mah batteries might be needed to power my GPS for 18 to 24 hours. My GPS manual indicated that maximum expected battery life for lithium batteries was 25 hours.
As I purchased the GPS for possible survival purposes, 24 hours of run time seemed to be a reasonable goal. After running the batteries through 5 charge and discharge cycles, I found that they will power my GPS for over 24 hours.
With a full charge and a set of lithium batteries (just in case) I can head off into the woods with confidence.
Thanks for such a great product.
PS: I wonder if the people that wrote such negative reviews tried to use an old NiCad battery charger instead of the proper NiMH charger!?

Poor rechargeable performance
The quality of these batteries are just not good. About 30% of the batteries we have purchased become defective and thus unrechargeable after only 5 or 6 recharges. Its frustrating and so costly because they claim they will recharge 1500x !!!! Energizer should offer a no questions asked recharge guarantee and provide a no-cost replacement service of dud rechargables until they can address this reliability issue.

ENERGIZER RECHARGEABLES NEVER LET ME DOWN!
ITS A RELIABILITY ISSUE FOR ME, A RECHARGEABLE LIKE THE ENERGIZER "AA" HAS THE INTEGRITY TO KEEP ITS TITLE... "RECHARGEABLE".
I CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON MINE AND KNOW THEY STAY CHARGED LONGER.
