Energizer Recharge Rapid Charger 3.6 5 27 27
Excellent product I love the rapid charger because I usually do not have much time to charge my electronics, and the Rapid Charger has never let me down!!! December 28, 2011
rapid charger The rapid charger is absolutely great. We have been using one for quite some time. It is small and light weight and easy to use and carry. We have a digital camera that when you are taking a lot of pictures and reviewing them it goes through batteries like crazy. We use the rechargeable batteries all the time and put them in the rapid charger and in 15 minutes they are like new and ready to go. We have three sets we use for the camera and have never had a problem with having fresh batteries to use in the camera. I used this on our trip to Alaska and took over a thousand pictures and never had an issue. December 26, 2011
cooling fan goes off batteries do not hold charge very long The cooling fan goes off soon after the unit runs, within 30 seconds and the batteries do not hold a charge very long. December 18, 2011
Fantastic speed and ease of use. I started with the Energizer basic charger, but the overnight speed was definitely not quick enough. After looking around at the options and prices, this was the only way to go. The kids' Leappads shred through batteries and this will save me on those long car trips. December 17, 2011
Quick & Easy The product is perfect for those who have gaming systems that use AA or AAA. When the kids are playing their video games and the batteries go down there is no time to waste when replacing the batteries. We have a few sets on hand so when the batteries need to be replaced they can be removed and placed in the charger for 15 minutes and they are ready to rock! Very little down-time if any.... December 16, 2011
Fast Charge, Easy to Use, Great Value !!! I recently bought this charger, when I bought some more batteries for my camera. My previous charger was just a big pain, and after seeing this charger on the wall with such a reasonable price, I bought it to see if it was better. I am very happy that I did. It is a great charger. It is fast, accurate, easy to use, and has a very reasonable price. My house is using rechargeable batteries for almost everything so a good charger is a must. My only suggestion would be to increase to number of slots, so that I could charge more at one time. December 16, 2011
Rapid Charger The item worked well at first. After a bit of storage, the batteries charged rapidly, but do not hold a charge very long. December 16, 2011
My overall rating is Excellent I have a 15 minute AA-AAA Battery Charger that lives up to the 15 minute expectation. I do find, however, that I get a more complete re charge if I remove the batteries and charge each of 4 that it holds, for about 2 additional minutes. In each charge operation , I do wait for the Green Charged light to come on. Its biggest advantage is that it is very portable and does an approximate 15 minute charge. December 15, 2011

Answer:
When the light is red, it is charging. When green, the batteries are charged. If blinking red..check the connections thoroughly or properly dispose of the battery--that means they are bad.
Very important to buy the correct mah battery for this charger! ;)

Here is a link that will be helpful. It is the instructions for this specific charger:

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding the CHVCM3 charger, when the batteries are installed and the unit is plugged in the indicator lights will turn green. The green lights are indicating that the batteries are being charged, when it has reached it charge the unit will shut off and lights will diminish.

I just bought 2 of your 15min Rapid Rechargers to take to Africa, and the wall adapter only handles 110v. Do you have a part number for a 240v wall adapter that I can order separately.

Thank you

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist. When it comes to our CH15MN2 rapid charger, an adaptor or convertor will not work. Due to the voltage, if you were to use this outside the United States it would end up destroying your charger. May I recommend the following chargers that have the 100-240v compatibility.
CHP4
CHP42
These are both smart and duel voltage chargers that would only require a wall adaptor for plug in.

Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns.

Energizer Bridget - this doesnt make sense to me. the wall plug converts the AC to 16V and the charger accepts 12-16V according to the specs printed on the item. And I noted that there is another version of this charger that runs on 240V. Of course, if you plug the 110V wall adapter into a 240V supply, you will fry it.

I was asking how I go about getting a 240V wall adapter that will convert to the 16VDC - can I get this from Energizer? and is there a preference for specs if I get a third party adpater?

Answer:
Thank you for your follow up question, and I do apologize for this inconvenience. At this time Energizer does not offer parts (i.e. separate wall adapter) for our chargers. We also do not recommend any third party wall adapters to use with our chargers since we have no control over their quality and reliability. The charger requires an input of 12 to 16 volts at 4 amps. If the charger does not state 110-240v it should not be used outside the Untied States.

Again I apologize for this inconvenience. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns at 1-800-383-7323.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. When buying new batteries make sure you are looking for Energizer Rechargeable NIMH batteries. For the AA I would look for the 1400 mah and for the AAA the 700 mah, these are the new batteries we have out on the market.

Why isn't the LED lighting up?

When I have all four batteries (they are rechargeable) in the charger, and its plugged in, the LED won't light up! It worked when I first used it, but now it does not want to light up.
