Energizer Recharge Value Charger 3.1 5 45 45
Stopped working I used the charger once and when I went to use it again, I plugged it in to the wall outlet and no lights, nothing... January 27, 2013
Would not work out of the box I purchased this product for my nephews vtech e-reader. Right out of the box the batteries were not charged enough to turn on the device. I charged them overnight and put them into the reader that night after I came home from work.Again the device did not turn on. I finally tried regular alkaline duracell batteries and the device turned on right away. I did try the Energizer rechargeable batteries in my wireless mouse and they worked just fine. It looks like they don't work well to run on a high energy mobile product. December 22, 2012
both green flashing lights Recently purchased at walmart. model# CHVCM3. happy with price and unit appearance. came with four AA NiMH batteries. Tried charging four AA rechargeable batteries. Are out of lawm LED solar lights. Batteries are labelled "solar lights". Thru research on the web, am told that there is no such thing as a "solar battery". Is this true? both green lights flash immediately with these four solar batteries installed. Will only charge supplied batteries if a problem. Any input greatly appreciated. An energizer user for many years. Will close and watch for reply. Thanxxxxxxxxx October 17, 2012
flashing green light I am attempting to recharge non-energizer batteries. The green light is constantly blinking. What does this indicate? September 23, 2012
stopped working Charger stopped after first use. Unable to charge batteries. August 29, 2012
NEVER WORKED I bought this charger and didn't use it for couple weeks; when I did attempt to use it, it did not work. Of course by then I had thrown away the receipt. Don't bother buying this charger, it it not a good value when you have to buy something more than once! I had to revert back to the old charger and wait instead of being able to charge 8 at a time. May 5, 2012
Nice Charger Worked great on Energizer NiMH Batteries, but when I inserted others, the green light flash rapidly, and while I'm not sure what that means, am pretty sure that they are not being charged. Any explanation, as it doesn't mention flashing lights in the user's manual? May 3, 2012
This product is easy to use I purchased this charger years ago & it works wonderfully. Never any problems. It was reasonably priced & came with the batteries. May 2, 2012

I started charging my 2300 yesterday around 8:00 in the 1300 charger as well. Light is still red almost 12 hours later. They are both Energizer batteries. Yes, my batteries are hot too.

Thank you for your great question! Blinking indicator lights mean that there is a bad cell or bad battery in the charger. I would recommend replacing the second set of batteries you tried to charge, as those seem to be the problem. Hope this helps. Any additional questions, let us know here or give us a call at 1.800.383.7323.

Thank you for bringing this up, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this charger, if you are receiving blinking lights, there are many things that could cause the lights to blink.
Old batteries (over 2yrs)
Mixing the MAH numbers
Mixing brands
Dirty contacts (easy clean, take pencil eraser to top and bottom contacts of charger)

When batteries are charging the lights should be a solid green, when it is completed the lights should shut off. If none of the above applies, please contact us and we can offer some solutions. 1-800-383-7323

Again thank you for contacting us with this situation.

I just opened the package and have been told opposite theories on re-chargeable batteries. One - you should use them out of the package until they die, then re-charge and Two - you should charge them before first use. Which is correct?

Excellent question, I would be happy to assist you on this. When it comes to our NIMH rechargeable batteries, regardless if they do state "Pre-Charged" we do recommend charging them up before first use. This will provide the best performance.

Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns.

Green Light - Solid & Blinking

The owner's manual does not explain these issues. When the batteries are being re-charged, the light is solid green. When the batteries are fully charged, the green light goes out. When the batteries are being charged and the green light is blinking, the batteries are bad. Are these statements correct? Thanks !!!

Thank you for these great questions, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this product, When the light is a solid green that indicates the charge is completed, when the light is red it indicates the batteries are being charged, when the red light is a rapid blinking that indicates a bad battery or charger. Please feel free to contact our consumer affairs office with any additional questions regarding this charger.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. When it comes to storing batteries, we typically recommend removing the batteries from the charger and placing them either in the original packaging or container stacked side by side (not lose).

Answer:
Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding our NIMH batteries, it will depend on what MAH number you have. We have new 1400mah batteries, once they are fully charged they will hold their charge for up to one year (85-95%) when not being used. If the MAH number is different, they will deplete their charge from 1/2 % - 1% per day when they sit idol. You will be able to find the number located on the battery right below the size on the top of the battery.
