Energizer Recharge Value Charger 3.2 5 42 42
not worth it I bought this and the AA batteries do not even stay in the holder. The AAA do very well but every time I put in AA they fall out. I have to have something up against it to hold it into place so they charge. I've even bought different batteries and they fall out too. May 12, 2013
Just stopped working! I ordered this on amazon and it worked with the first set of batteries I charged. But just like others are saying, this charger has not worked the 2nd or 3rd time I have tried it. Very disappointed because it is a hassle to return. May 1, 2013
Portable Chargers I have purchased several energizer chargers in the past that resulted in me buying more than one of the same version of the product thinking I just got a bad one, I felt it was easier to just purchase another then dealing with the hassle of returning it because I never keep up with receipts. I have purchased on different occasions different versions of energizer portable chargers that failed which should have been my indicator not to purchase anymore :(. Being optimistic and regardless of my past disappointment with past energizer products I decided to give energizer another try so I purchased my final and probably last energizer charger. I purchased the portable energizer Iphone charger and within the 1st week it gives an indicator that it is charging until a pop-up state that this device is not supported..... I don't have the receipt or packaging so I can't go back to the store. Is there something I can do to resolve this issue or should I just count this as another lost. April 27, 2013
disappointed Well from what I have been reading about this charger I don't stand alone. I am also having problems with the red light staying on. And the batteries are not charging. Haven't had it that long, no longer have the receipt to take it back. I have 3 sets of batteries and the charger won't work. So what am I suppose to do now? April 21, 2013
Very bad product I went with this charger over another company because of the name. That was a bad decision. The batteries need to be charged as soon as I opened the pack and the charger didn't even work. I'm very disappointed with this product. April 8, 2013
Works very well I've had this charger for a while now, but it has never had any problems! Still going and still working fine! Thanks! March 28, 2013
Charger not working Plugged in my charger after not using it for a while and I'm getting 2 red flashing lighs.. Took battery's out and light stopped so I put in all new battery's to charge and now no lights or number showing up on percentage of how long it would be.. Took battery's out unplugged charger and plugged it back in again lights came on and then went away.. Put battery's in again and still no lights telling me its charging or anything ! Very disappointed !! I was working at first but not anymore.. can't return it or anything because I bought it 3 months ago with no problem and no longer have recept March 10, 2013
Indicator Lights Do Not Work Will not work as described. The red light stays on indefinitely and will not change to green after 5+ hours. Also, the indicator lights that signal if the batteries are properly installed do not illuminate. In fact, I didn't even know they were there until I decided to visit this site. March 9, 2013

Thank you for your great question! Blinking indicator lights mean that there is a bad cell or bad battery in the charger. I would recommend replacing the second set of batteries you tried to charge, as those seem to be the problem. Hope this helps. Any additional questions, let us know here or give us a call at 1.800.383.7323.

Answer:
Thank you for bringing this up, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this charger, if you are receiving blinking lights, there are many things that could cause the lights to blink.
Old batteries (over 2yrs)
Mixing the MAH numbers
Mixing brands
Dirty contacts (easy clean, take pencil eraser to top and bottom contacts of charger)

When batteries are charging the lights should be a solid green, when it is completed the lights should shut off. If none of the above applies, please contact us and we can offer some solutions. 1-800-383-7323

Again thank you for contacting us with this situation.

I just opened the package and have been told opposite theories on re-chargeable batteries. One - you should use them out of the package until they die, then re-charge and Two - you should charge them before first use. Which is correct?

Excellent question, I would be happy to assist you on this. When it comes to our NIMH rechargeable batteries, regardless if they do state "Pre-Charged" we do recommend charging them up before first use. This will provide the best performance.

Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns.

Green Light - Solid & Blinking

The owner's manual does not explain these issues. When the batteries are being re-charged, the light is solid green. When the batteries are fully charged, the green light goes out. When the batteries are being charged and the green light is blinking, the batteries are bad. Are these statements correct? Thanks !!!

Thank you for these great questions, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this product, When the light is a solid green that indicates the charge is completed, when the light is red it indicates the batteries are being charged, when the red light is a rapid blinking that indicates a bad battery or charger. Please feel free to contact our consumer affairs office with any additional questions regarding this charger.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. When it comes to storing batteries, we typically recommend removing the batteries from the charger and placing them either in the original packaging or container stacked side by side (not lose).

Answer:
Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding our NIMH batteries, it will depend on what MAH number you have. We have new 1400mah batteries, once they are fully charged they will hold their charge for up to one year (85-95%) when not being used. If the MAH number is different, they will deplete their charge from 1/2 % - 1% per day when they sit idol. You will be able to find the number located on the battery right below the size on the top of the battery.

extremely hot. Is this normal or is the 2300mah too much for the value charger?
Energizer® Recharge® Value Charger

The 1300mah batteries don't even get warm when charging. Is there a problem charging the higher mah batteries
