Good value - charger This product seems to function as well as many higher prices equivalents. I use AA batteries a lot in my household, and this unit keeps up with my charging needs amply, and is fast. January 13, 2012
A++++++ I bought this for my daughter for Christmas for her Leapster 2 and she loves it. I also love how long the batteries stay charged. She could literally play for days on it without the batteries dying. Quality products from a great brand. A+++++++++++++++++++! :) January 12, 2012
great product I love this product, I use it when I need fresh batterys for my digital camera. After a good charge the batteries seem to last a very long time befor needing to recharge again. Definitally a good buy, and the price was just right January 7, 2012
Excellent & Long Battery Life For Great $Price$ I bought this at Wal-Mart for around $12-16 dollars I think; I no longer see it listed there so I came over here to leave a review. I bought these specifically to use for my Logitech Harmony 650 remote, as it was going through batteries once a month. The first initial charge only got me one week of use with each pair of batteries. At first thought, I thought it was not a lot and didn't know what to expect; but didn't complain since it was still going to save me on batteries. After the 2nd charge, one pair of AA batteries lasted a little more than two whole months!!! I was really impressed. So I guess these batteries need to be cycled a couple of times before getting full usage out of them. These are great for any device, and these batteries are 2000mAh. So you can buy additional ones with a higher MAh rating and get even longer lasting batteries! January 4, 2012
Fabulous alternative to purchasing and purchasing and purchasing.... It seems the older my girls get, the MORE they want/receive toys that require batteries. Yet they are still young enough (5 and 3 1/2) that they don't entirely understand that their batteries A) cost a lot of money and B) will last a lot longer if turned off when not playing. My girls got a LeapPad and a Mobigo for Christmas...both electronic, requiring 4 AA batteries. In the past, I've been alright with purchasing my stock of Energizer batteries in bulk from Sams Club. However; these toys seem to EAT them. I told the hubby...."I know! I am going to go buy the charger and rechargable batteries that Energizer puts out." We both agreed that would solve our problem and sure enough, it did! So far, I've only had to charge them once and I did it while they slept. I would recommend to anyone with these types of toys. The alternative (using an AC adaptor) sucks as they are tied to the wall. Neither of them were a fan of that and kept ripping the cord from the toy. Thanks Energizer!! January 3, 2012
Mrs I have one and would not be with out. I have tried others but others don't come close to this little gem for the money. You can't go wrong with Energizer. Home or on the go, I will stay with Energizer. My perfect solution and you can make it yours. So give it a try, if you haven't already. All power you will ever need. December 31, 2011
Outsatanding product! I have this charger for my son with the Recharge batteries to use it for his Wii, Digicam and remote control car and helicopter. All I can say it's the best ever. Multiple times, he have dropped the charger, still good and working. I'm very happy with the product. It's worth every penny. Thanks Energizer! December 31, 2011
Inexpensive & Long lasting This Battery Charger lasts a long time, is very nicely priced, and does as describes - charges batteries. Our house could not live without this, as my kids go through a LOT of batteries. December 31, 2011

Thank you for your great question! Blinking indicator lights mean that there is a bad cell or bad battery in the charger. I would recommend replacing the second set of batteries you tried to charge, as those seem to be the problem. Hope this helps. Any additional questions, let us know here or give us a call at 1.800.383.7323.

Thank you for bringing this up, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this charger, if you are receiving blinking lights, there are many things that could cause the lights to blink.
Old batteries (over 2yrs)
Mixing the MAH numbers
Mixing brands
Dirty contacts (easy clean, take pencil eraser to top and bottom contacts of charger)

When batteries are charging the lights should be a solid green, when it is completed the lights should shut off. If none of the above applies, please contact us and we can offer some solutions. 1-800-383-7323

Again thank you for contacting us with this situation.

I just opened the package and have been told opposite theories on re-chargeable batteries. One - you should use them out of the package until they die, then re-charge and Two - you should charge them before first use. Which is correct?

Excellent question, I would be happy to assist you on this. When it comes to our NIMH rechargeable batteries, regardless if they do state "Pre-Charged" we do recommend charging them up before first use. This will provide the best performance.

Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns.

Green Light - Solid & Blinking

The owner's manual does not explain these issues. When the batteries are being re-charged, the light is solid green. When the batteries are fully charged, the green light goes out. When the batteries are being charged and the green light is blinking, the batteries are bad. Are these statements correct? Thanks !!!

Thank you for these great questions, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this product, When the light is a solid green that indicates the charge is completed, when the light is red it indicates the batteries are being charged, when the red light is a rapid blinking that indicates a bad battery or charger. Please feel free to contact our consumer affairs office with any additional questions regarding this charger.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. When it comes to storing batteries, we typically recommend removing the batteries from the charger and placing them either in the original packaging or container stacked side by side (not lose).

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding our NIMH batteries, it will depend on what MAH number you have. We have new 1400mah batteries, once they are fully charged they will hold their charge for up to one year (85-95%) when not being used. If the MAH number is different, they will deplete their charge from 1/2 % - 1% per day when they sit idol. You will be able to find the number located on the battery right below the size on the top of the battery.

extremely hot. Is this normal or is the 2300mah too much for the value charger?
Energizer® Recharge® Value Charger

The 1300mah batteries don't even get warm when charging. Is there a problem charging the higher mah batteries
