Energizer Recharge Value Charger
Red light flashing - NOT UNCOMMON
I am not too sure why you say the red flashing light is an uncommon issue - I and some of my friends have the same issue - not happy and neither are my kids for not having them charged when required.
Please do not refer me to customer services - I just want a replacement or an answer on why it is happening

i bought this product 2 months ag
I am having the same problems most are, after a couple months it does not work, I feel like when I read the comments I am reading my own because it is the exact same thing, very disappointed in Energizer and will never buy this product again. I have purchased two chargers over the last yr and more batteries because I felt like maybe the last one was bad, nope it just quit working after one charge.

Old model could use improvement
Model: CHVCM no additional mod #s
my manual says shut-off at 11 hrs, I see the newer models say auto shutoff. I never know when its done. I guess all charge times are consistent over these models. The charge times are long. The unit can fall from the wall outlet, its heavy. I enjoy the battery life once charged. But, using a meter they never seem to read 1.5v, always lower, about 1.35 or so. Dont understand that and it is not explained in the manual.

not worth it
I bought this and the AA batteries do not even stay in the holder. The AAA do very well but every time I put in AA they fall out. I have to have something up against it to hold it into place so they charge. I've even bought different batteries and they fall out too.

Just stopped working!
I ordered this on amazon and it worked with the first set of batteries I charged. But just like others are saying, this charger has not worked the 2nd or 3rd time I have tried it. Very disappointed because it is a hassle to return.

I have purchased several energizer chargers in the past that resulted in me buying more than one of the same version of the product thinking I just got a bad one, I felt it was easier to just purchase another then dealing with the hassle of returning it because I never keep up with receipts. I have purchased on different occasions different versions of energizer portable chargers that failed which should have been my indicator not to purchase anymore :(. Being optimistic and regardless of my past disappointment with past energizer products I decided to give energizer another try so I purchased my final and probably last energizer charger. I purchased the portable energizer Iphone charger and within the 1st week it gives an indicator that it is charging until a pop-up state that this device is not supported..... I don't have the receipt or packaging so I can't go back to the store. Is there something I can do to resolve this issue or should I just count this as another lost.

Well from what I have been reading about this charger I don't stand alone. I am also having problems with the red light staying on. And the batteries are not charging. Haven't had it that long, no longer have the receipt to take it back. I have 3 sets of batteries and the charger won't work. So what am I suppose to do now?

Very bad product
I went with this charger over another company because of the name. That was a bad decision. The batteries need to be charged as soon as I opened the pack and the charger didn't even work. I'm very disappointed with this product.
