energizer kept me getting into it this product just kept me getting into my car through my key/car. For this particular Coin Lithium battery, 8 years from manufature date is the typical shelf life.

Can I replace a CR2016 with 2032?

I have a garage door opener which has a CR2016 in it but I have some energizer 2032's. Is there an issue with replacing 2016 with 2032?

Answer: 
These batteries are not exactly the same size (2016 is thinner), but if 2032 fits into the opener and it works, there is no really no issue using that battery. 2032 has more capacity than the 2016 but shouldn't cause any issues that we're aware of. So, the answer is yes, if it fits.
