Energizer has a full range of button cell batteries. Whether it’s for your watch, glucose monitor, pedometer, remote control or other small devices, we have the right battery for your needs.

For our 20mm lithium coin cell batteries, you might notice you now need a scissors to open the package … this is because Energizer is proactively addressing the threat of battery ingestion amongst children. Energizer leads the industry by being the first battery manufacturer to introduce coin lithium battery packaging that voluntarily meets the strict guidelines set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for child resistance. We’re proud to help keep kids safe!

Feel free to visit The Battery Controlled, where you can learn more and help create awareness for this little known risk to small children.

Answer:
These batteries are not exactly the same size (2016 is thinner), but if 2032 fits into the opener and it works, there is no really no issue using that battery. 2032 has more capacity than the 2016 but shouldn't cause any issues that we're aware of. So, the answer is yes, if it fits.

Answer:
While it's possible that you have some older packaging that does not contain a Best if Used By date, most of the Energizer packaging for the small Watch/Electronic batteries contain a date in the bottom left-hand corner. Otherwise, there should be a 2-letter code date on the cell itself. We can give you a better idea of the date based on that code date.

Answer:
The expiration date for the batteries that you have is June 2019. With that said, while all expiration dates are provided on Energizer's retail packaging, we realize that bulk or professional market packaging doesn't always provide that date to consumers. We are currently taking into consideration posting code dates for all of our Watch/Electronic batteries. Thank you for your question.

Answer:
Unforunately, these two types are not interchangeable. Aside from size differences in both width and thickness, the capacity for the 2016 is slightly greater than the 1620. The difference in capacity (power) may not be appropriate for the device that you have.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. The date code on this battery is Sep of 2010; this battery has an 8yr shelf life that would put the use by date close to 2018.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Energizer.
