Energizer has a full range of button cell batteries. Whether it’s for your watch, glucose monitor, pedometer, remote control or other small devices, we have the right battery for your needs.

For our 20mm lithium coin cell batteries, you might notice you now need a scissors to open the package … this is because Energizer is proactively addressing the threat of battery ingestion amongst children. Energizer leads the industry by being the first battery manufacturer to introduce coin lithium battery packaging that voluntarily meets the strict guidelines set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for child resistance. We’re proud to help keep kids safe!

Feel free to visit The Battery Controlled, where you can learn more and help create awareness for this little known risk to small children.

Energizer Coin Lithium 2032 Battery 3.8 5 17 17
New Package - Insufficient energy I bought 2 packages of (2) CR2032 batteries last year. Used one battery to replace old one in digital kitchen scale; the others were stored in a cool drawer. Today the kitchen scale battery needed to be replaced already. I used the second. Error, low energy. Opened the sealed 2nd package. Both were low energy and produced errors. The original expense and then this is VERY disappointing. I need a battery pronto. April 17, 2013
Will NOT buy again I purchased 4 of these batteries on 02/10/2013 for my car remote. Nothing's worse than going to your car at night and the door won't unlock because the battery DOESN'T WORK! Already, I'm on battery #3. I am very disappointed with the lack of longevity. It was a total waste of money. March 26, 2013
Very poor packaging! The packaging is almost impossible to open without damaging or shorting the batteries. The older package was made of chipboard and the batteries could be "popped" out of the package easily. It can't be done with the plastic package. November 16, 2012
The product prematurely died I had bought a double pack of the 2032 Energizer brand batteries. The Use By date on the package is 03-2019. However, the batteries only lasted a few days in my pedometer. The previous 2032 battery (I can't remember the brand) had lasted for months. Perhaps a bad batch or poor quality control of Energizer products? September 23, 2012
Battery does not last as long as I would like it to. I think the batteries are very expensive. They are $8.99 and I use them for my doorbell. I do not have many visitors however, I have to buy them every 4-6 weeks. June 7, 2012
2032 Pricey little speciality battery that seems to last for a while. Hey it's a battery, you really weren't expecting a novel, were you? May 3, 2012
I bought one of these Two years ,then realized I didn't then! But Now two years Later I need it Two Years ago I bought a 2032 Battery realized I didn't need it then,so I put it away until last month when we needed to change the battery on my Husband's Glucose Meter. I was kind of nervous that it might not work, but Wow it did and still does!! We were really Surprised!! May 3, 2012
Lithium ROCKS! I use a Lithium battery in my Glucose meter and it lasts for a very long time. That helps me store more results and stores them long enough so my doctor can download the results. May 3, 2012

Answer:
The safest answer is yes, it is best to remove batteries for storage. If the light is a simple circuit, then it would be fine to leave them, but it is hard to say.

Answer:
Any item not in use for a sufficient time should have the battery removed. The battery is still "in use" in the item and will drain power if not removed. "Speaking from experience."

Answer:
It depends on the device itself. If the device does not appear to be using any power when it is in the off mode, there is a high likelihood that there is no extra drain on the battery by being kept in the device. To be sure though, we recommend consulting the device manufacturer or owner's manual of the bike lights. You may want to look for terms like "standby" or "power saver". These would indicate that the device is pulling some power from the battery even when the device is thought to be "off".

Stacking 2 2016 is not recommended to replace a 2032, because you will get 6v of output from the 2 when stacked, and if the system is only 3v, it can cause damage.

Answer:
I own a watch and clock repair shop and am familiar with your watch. It does take a standard 2032 3v Lithium cell. Some places that replace batteries can charge seemingly high prices but I can tell you it is worth it to have a professional do it. There are many things that can go wrong in the process if someone that is inexperienced attempts it. The reason for the higher price is generally that because the watch is more expensive than a simple Timex, the can be additional time involved, as well as the fact that costs of mistakes are higher with expensive watches.

With a watch like that, I would recommend that you take it someone that does watch repair, and has a good reputation.

As far as Cell life, with the Energizer Lithium, it should last you 1-2 years, maybe more, depending on conditions.

Answer:
To answer your first question, some manufacturers have multiple versions of the same battery, so without knowing where it comes from, it's tough to answer. With that said, given the type of Watch that you're talking about, an Energizer 2032 should last just as long as any other 2032 coin lithium battery in the market. If you have the right tools to change the battery yourself, I would recommend picking up an Energizer 2032 battery at any major retailer and bring power back to your watch.

Answer:
While there is no cross-reference guide available yet, we are in the process of updating one for easy reference. It will be uploaded to Energizer.com as soon as it's available. In the meantime, for the particular code that you're referring to, the expiration date would be August 2019.

New expiration date format?

I was looking for the 2-letter code without success.
Instead, I found the following code: "PD0411 ED0419"

Does this mean that my battery was manufactured in April 2011 and expires in April 2019?

Thank you.

I assume the PD stands for "Production Date" and the ED is "Expiration Date", so there should be another 2 letter code somewhere else on the package- So YES, you are correct .

Answer:
According to our records, the code date that you referenced does not apply to the Coin Lithium 2032. On any Energizer Coin Lithium batteries, there should be a 2-letter code date imprinted on the cell. With that said, more information is probably needed, so it's recommended that you reach our customer service number with questions.
