Hi,

My watch used Energizer 397/396 battery, is it ok to use 397BP to replace it? Is there any difference between the two?

Answer: 
Yes, the 397 and the 396/397 are same cell type. You should be all set to replace one with the other.

We recommend that you take it to a watch repair station so that they can help you. Or you could always attempt to get the back of the watch open so you can determine the type of battery it takes.
