NEW! Explore the Energizer Bunny Timeline ›
He likes flip-flops, drumbeats and powering alien spacecrafts. He thrives on perseverance, positivity…and Energizer® batteries, of course. Scroll down to explore how his Keep Going® spirit has launched a whole new movement that connects his boundless energy and innovation with making a positive impact on the world. that's positivenergy™
The Energizer Bunny first hopped onto the scene and into America's hearts in his commercial debut where he drummed away—in full flip flop and sunglasses glory—to outlast all the toys powered by other batteries.
The Energizer Bunny enjoys an 80s "hare" band as much as the rest of us – but where he doesn't want heavy metal is in his household batteries. So he was thrilled when Energizer led the industry and sold the world's first zero mercury alkaline battery. Rock on!
When you are the world's most-tireless icon, it only makes sense to have the world's longest-lasting battery. Now Energizer® Ultimate Lithium AA and AAA batteries last up to 9x longer* in digital cameras, which means up to 9x less waste.**
He was taller than the Statue of Liberty, had size 98 EEEEE feet and was held together with 84 miles of thread … and no, we're not full of hot air! The Energizer Bunny Hot "Hare" Balloon went on to paint the skies pink for nearly two decades.
Even the darkest of foes are no match for the Energizer Bunny in this "force"-ful advertising campaign. Thankfully his opponent forgot to pack his lightsaber with Energizer® batteries.
Those sunglasses aren't just for looks! The Energizer Bunny needed his shades when he helped launch the first line of Energizer® LED lights. The LED technology uses less energy and—much like the spirit of the Energizer Bunny—is nearly indestructible.
Everyone agrees he is special, but it became official when Advertising Age®* named the Energizer Bunny to its list of the top 10 brand icons of the 20th century, citing him as "the ultimate symbol of longevity, perseverance and determination."
Not only is he an icon of unstoppable energy, but he became an official "definition," too, when he was added to the 2006 Oxford English Dictionary, defined as:
A persistent or indefatigable person or phenomenon.
The Keep Going® spirit of the Energizer Bunny reached extraterrestrial levels when he helped power an alien spacecraft in one of his favorite television commercials.
He kicked off his 20th birthday celebration at the 82nd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade® in true Energizer Bunny fashion when he escaped the parade route to "keep going and going …" and was later seen having a "hare"-raising good time!
What did he do today? Keep Going®. What did he eat for lunch? Carrots. After the Energizer Bunny joined Facebook and Twitter, fans everywhere could now follow his adventures.
The Energizer Bunny will always inspire perseverance, but he's grown to represent much more. To launch it in the US, the Energizer Bunny lent a paw to help power and preserve America's national parks.
Trading his flip-flops for running shoes, the Energizer Bunny sprinted to the start of the first US Energizer Night Race, joining runners across 30 countries as they raced at night by the light of an Energizer® headlight to raise awareness of the need for safe, clean, solar light for families without electricity around the world.
Each year the Energizer Bunny partners with the International Association of Fire Chiefs to share the reminder to change the batteries in your smoke alarms when you change your clocks for daylight saving. So don't say we didn't warn you if you happen to see some big pink ears poking out of a fire truck near you.
He has been everywhere from the Grand Canyon to outer space to under the sea, but to get a closer look at the first technology of its kind, the Energizer Bunny went where he has never gone before—inside the battery! And it was worth the squeeze. Energizer® MAX® batteries with Power Seal Technology hold power for up to 10 years when not in use.
Toys are some of his favorite things to power! But the littlest Energizer Bunny fans don't always realize what is a toy and what is not—which is why Energizer is teaching parents how to keep their little ones safe from little batteries.
