Best Flashlight I've ever owned or used. Much better than the famous one made of aluminum. The optics are simply perfect, with a focused beam without distortions, shadows in the middle, and no need to adjust the focus depending on the distance. I wish just two things: (1) That is was waterproof, and (2) that I could find out where I bought it, so I could get a couple more. Oh, one more thing; as I remember, it was quite cheap. Fantastic Light! I first used this light in the Arizona desert. Shining in the backyard and was amazed at the distance and brightness. Outshines a larger Mag light! For the price, can't be beat. January 26, 2013
This product has some good features Overall, this product is good for what it was designed for, and that is that it fits into a pocket because of its compact size. And for less than $5, it is a pretty good value for the money. Its two best features are its small size and its great illumination. It fits in the palm of your hand very comfortably. It fits into a pocket or purse very well. As far as improvements, here are my ideas: 1. To improve usefulness, it could be re-designed so that it has a flat bottom edge so that it can be used in a hands-free mode. The only way it can be used hands-free now is if it is pointing straight up. 2. The on-off switch could be re-designed so it is flush with the top surface to minimize unintentional activation to ON when packed in a suitcase. 3. The on-off switch could be re-designed so that it is a white, luminous color instead of black so that it would be easier to locate in total darkness. Also, the white stripe could be changed to luminous white to improve its visibility in a dark environment. February 26, 2012

Battery Installation

How do the batteries go in the compartment? I.e. facing up, down, a combination? I've tried a couple of different ways and it doesn't work. There's no diagram on the package and I don't see a plus or minus sign in the battery compartment that would clue me in on how to install them. Plus the lid of the compartment is very hard to slide in and out, so I'm afraid I'll break it before I even get to use it! Getting frustrated here, help!

Answer:
Typically the "spring" side in a battery compartment is the battery's "minus" side.

Answer:
Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. I do apologize for this inconvenience you have endured. Regarding this product, you want to place the batteries as follows, Positive up/Negative up/Positive up. When replacing the cover you want to push down a bit while sliding it back on.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Energizer.
