this is the only flashlight that I use for power outages
this flashlight has a perfect wind up bar and solar power that makes the flashlight seem like the brightest flashlight in the world. This definetly the world's best and brightest flashlight! I defenetley recomend this to anyone who goes camping or has a lot of poweroutages or anyone who has a dark house or is looking in dark corners. I hope you get this flashlight, it really in worth it!!!!

Orange Power !!
Finally!... a solar light that actually does what the package says it will! I have a few other crank lights and this one is the best so far. Build quality is excellent. It puts out a lot of light for a long time. Remember to charge this outside when you can - this makes a big difference and will run bright well over 3 hours after a full day in the sun. Home/car windows may block some of the charging power of the sun. It will charge on a cloudy day also but not as well. The other thing I like about this product is that it continues to glow dimly for many hours after peak brightness expires and makes a great sleeptime bathroom/nitelight.
Love the easy to find color and handy carabiner clip. The white and black rubber facing around the lens comes off which allows for easy lens cleaning. I attach this to the top of my backpack and it serves me well throughout the night while in the bush - nice to not have to wind it all the time! You will never be without light and can crank it in the on position for a SECRET SUPER BRIGHT MODE!! The only negative is that the crank handle is a bit small to grab but it works. I'm thinking of fashioning an extension that could slip over it. Don't get me wrong, this light wouldn't be my first choice when the brightest light is needed but it sure is convenient. I got it on clearance at Target for 9 bucks... well worth the price and performs as advertised!
Update after more than a year of use: Still works great but after charging numerous times in the hot sun the white rubber facing started to yellow and crack. It has withstood hard use, drops and even rain. I did buy another when it was on clearance again. This light is well worth the money!

Excellent reliability and flexibilty
Used the Solar-Crank Carabiner for 3 years. I like it a lot for everyday use, and it still works perfectly. After hurricane Sandy, liked it even better. It was my primary light.
Dual power was very important; Charge by daylight at a window, and use it for couple of hours. When it runs low, use the crank to keep going indefinitely.
Carabiner can be clipped onto a string or wire to position it perfectly as a working light.
Couldn't be happier. I'm getting one for each of my kids to keep in their homes.

excellent quality
i have had some solar flashlights that stop working after a few months, i have had this one for almost a year, it holds a charge from the sun very well and is always ready for use. Cool feature of being both solar & crank powered, no batteries needed.
