I LOVE this lantern....
I purchased this lantern a VERY long time ago (more than 4 years ago...I think...I can't remember anymore) and have yet to have to replace the batteries in it. I live in an area where we are prone to lose power from storms and tornadoes. I use it a lot and it performs very well each time. I am considering buying 2 more so that I can have one in the basement and one in my office. They are well worth the investment!

Upset
I bought this lantern thinking it was a tad expenisive but bought it anyhow. I got it home and the batteries and turned it on and then saw that batteries are not even included. I paid $20.00 for no light? I am amazed and upset to spend $20.00 on a light without light. I'm not a happy camper whatsoever. I can't rate this yet, I have to go buy batteries to see if it works.

This product has two frequently fatal design flaws
First, the switch has 4 positions, in this order: Night light; off; flash; and on (or maybe the last two are low and high). Because the left-most position is not "off," it is all too easy to leave it in night-light position or for it to be bumped into that position (the switch isn't terribly clearly marked either), resulting in a dead battery. Who had the idea of making "off" an intermediate position? This is disastrous design.
Second, to access the battery compartment you need a coin or a screwdriver, to turn two slotted latches. Easy, but if you happen to have neither along, you can't get at the batteries! Why not a finger-held raised tab? Again, poor design.

Excellent light output
This is a great product. My family and I used it for 4 days of no power due to Sandy. It was used in our living room, which it lit very well. We were able to play cards and board games on our dinning room table. I will be purchasing more for myself. Battery run time is excellent,since batteries in Staten Island were gone, this was extremely important to me.

Bought four more after Sandy
Owned two prior to Sandy. Great help for the 5 1/2 days we were without power. Able to cook by the light provided by the two we had. Have not had to replace the batteries since purchasing the lights a couple of years ago. My wife loved them. Went out and bought four more after the local store resupplied from Sandy.

Don't be without one of these when the power dies
We were luck and got our power back in 4 days after Sandy. This light got us through the entire adventure on one set of batteries. Who ever designed them...THANK YOU

Versatile,very handy
Used this light daily when we were without power for nearly two weeks following Hurricane Sandy. Used for everything from ambient lighting to walking the dog. Handle makes it easy to carry from room to room. Bright light, stable on surfaces, doesn't tip over. So glad we had one on hand.

Love it!
This light is amazing
The kids loved it at camp.
I loved it when a bad storm knocked our power out,for a day and a half,
The only problem I have is where can I get replacement bulbs?
