THE BEST ON THE MARKET I first bought one for my handyman. Then I bought one for my son. Yesterday, I bought one for myself. This is the most amazing powerful light on the market for it's size. I've already used it twice myself in one day. This is something no matter what you already own, you need to have! March 4, 2013

Answer:
Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this product, it will take 2.5 hours of bright light from 5 hours of solar charge. As for the shade, it will charge in partial shade, it will take a bit longer however to get a full charge, there is not ratio on this at this time.

Thank you for your great question! To put 3 D cell batteries in this light you want to first rotate the light up. Under that you should see two screws on the right-hand side that you should be able to turn with your thumb. Turn those to the unlock position and the panel should lift up. Under that panel is where you will put in the three batteries. Hope this helps. Any additional questions, let us know here or give us a call at 1.800.383.7323.

Answer:
Hi Joann, thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this product, what you want to do is flip open the lantern; you will see two slots located on the reflector plate. Take a coin or flat object and place in the slots and turn, the reflector plate comes off and the batteries sit down inside the bottom of the light.

Hi,
Understand we can insert 3 D-sized batteries but would like to know which batteries does the solar energy charged to.

Answer:
Hi Cliff, thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this light there are two options for using it, the three D cell batteries run on its own power. If you want to use the solar portion, that runs off the battery pack which is located inside where the 3 D cells are located, under the reflecting plate. It is not a replaceable battery.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. The amber night light provides only a very dim glow. It was not tested for lumens output. We expect it would have an output less than a couple of lumens. Other wise it has 66 lumens.
