Hi Martin, thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. Regarding this light, some times if the light is not right (dim or bright) depending on where it is located, it will work differently. I would recommend placing this light in an area that gives off a lot of light and see if it goes off, if it still does not go off then please contact our consumer affairs office so we may take care of this for you.
