Unique, interesting, functional lamp This is as a lamp which produces useful light, but is also quite unique in its' construction., engineering, and appearance. We love the lamp and use it daily. It produces a broad, diffuse light which can be used at a lower setting to establish a mood or ambience. We live in a moist climate and do not have routine static discharges described in an earlier review. June 13, 2013
Static From Your Hand Will Kill This Light Simple static spark from your hand will kill the switching circuit as you go to turn this on and renders this light useless. Very poor engineering. It this had a traditional dimmer switch, it would be well worth the money. Given the poor engineering, this product is worthless as the first static discharge from your hand will kill it once and for all. January 27, 2013

Answer: 
Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. The panels are etched acrylic (similar to a lens) and unless damaged will not wear out under ordinary use. The LEDs are nestled into channels under the panels. The LEDs have a life of approximately 25,000 hours and are non-replaceable. The panels can be removed for cleaning. There may be different design panels available in the future but none are offered at this time.

Thank you for your great question. Though we don't have a cleaning procedure set out for this light I would say that as long as you are careful with it this light will be just fine. We have made it durable so it can be cleaned with ease. If you use a soft rag and warm water or dust spray it will certainly be fine. Hope this helps.
