Welcome to the Energizer product recall site.

On October 4, 2007, we announced the voluntary recall of Energizer's Pirates of the Caribbean Medallion Squeeze Light. The product is no longer in production and has been removed from retailers' shelves.

In some samples tested through quality verification screening, the company identified that the leather strap attached to the medallion squeeze light contained paint with lead levels exceeding the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's children's product safety standards. The company is working cooperatively with the CPSC to recall this product.

We regret this inconvenience. Eveready is currently reevaluating its testing policies and procedures to ensure that all of its products meet or exceed government standards, and provide the assurance of quality and safety to its consumers.

Eveready Battery Company wants to make the exchange process as simple as possible.

You may contact Eveready by calling (800) 925-0628, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central Time for information. Details about the exchange along with a prepaid mailing label will be mailed to you based on the information you provide.

Upon receipt of the Pirates of the Caribbean Medallion Squeeze Light, Eveready will mail you a coupon that can be exchanged for any other Energizer brand product at any retailer. The value of the coupon will be equal to the retail cost of the returned squeeze light.

Please allow from 6 to 8 weeks for processing of the exchange.
