Stopped charging after 4 months of use The device worked pretty well early on. It is at the 4 month mark now and simply won't charge. March 21, 2013
Stick to Apple I purchased it on 10/5/12. When I plugged it in, the phone gave me a warning that it was not an authorized charger. It worked until Nov 15, when the phone gave me another warning that it was not authorized. Now, it lights up, but the Iphone does not recognize it, and the phone will not charge. December 4, 2012

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The USB car charger will not charge a laptop.

In order to charge a laptop in your car, you will need an inverter. Energizer has a 200w power inverter that plugs into your car's DC power outlet and provides you with 2 AC plugs for your laptop and other small electronics. You can find information about this inverter at http://universalpowergroup.com/part...

Thanks for the question. While this charger will work with an iPad, it will charge the tablet at a reduced rate. I recommend that you check out our 10 watt car charger instead for a better charging experience on the iPad.

Answer:
The iPhone 5 uses a new 9 pin Lightning connector. This charger and Apple Charging Cable can be used in conjunctions with the Lightning to 30-pin adapter sold by Apple. You can also plug in the Lightning to USB cable directly into the car charger.

I have this 5 watt charger but my new tablet takes 5v, 2a output. Other than slower charging speed, will using this lower output charger damage my tablet battery?

Answer:
Other than charging more slowly, there aren't other negative effects of using a 5 watt car charger for a device that charges optimally on 10 watts. The battery will not be damaged.

Answer:
Thank you for your great question! Either one of these would work with your iphone 5. The difference would be the charging time. The 10W charger would charge it quicker but the 5W also works very well. The main difference is that the 10W is able to charge an ipad. They are both very safe and will both work very well for you. Hope this helps. Any additional questions, let us know here or give us a call at 1.800.383.7323.
