Broke two nails trying to open. good idea. Got o Sale at least.

put it on a bank vault
THese should be put on a bank vault, because they are impossible to open! A great idea, and I was happy to be able to organize the cables on my desk at work, but spent a good portion of my lunch time trying to open these things. At least I can use them as regular magnets.

Can only be opened with great difficulty.Size of opening to small to hold cable

Junk
I wasted good money. I bought a couple of these packages and worked close to an hour and could never get it to open. Then I searched this website to see how they work -- didn't help!

One of those things management never tried
As everyone else has noted, opening these things is a serious project. I have strong fingernails, but I gave up and got a screwdriver. Then, I gave up and got a second screw driver... GIVE ME A BREAK!!! Now I remember why I don't use Energizer products.
Well, it's still a magnet so when my sticky notes won't stick...

hard to open -- but worked for my use
I use these to keep charging cables on my desk -- have a metal plate attached to desk and the clip on the end of a cable -- works great -- definitely hard to open but I only needed to open once -- I could see it being a problem if you used to store a cable and needed to constantly open and close them

worthless
Impossible to open. Stabbed myself with a screwdriver trying to pry them apart to no avail. What is the point?- these are supposed to make things easier!

great idea, bad execution
I needed pliers to open these! I am not keeping pliers at my desk so I can open these. That is why I bought them, to keep extra stuff off my desk!
