Charging w/a 25" cord - seriously? It my understanding most wall sockets are on the wall or maybe extended by a cord....but the picture on the box looks like we have at least 6ft/2M - give or take to work with when powering up any given device. In all actuality...the cord measures approximately 28" from tip to tip! I dont know about you, but this is certainly underwhelming and hardly worth the $20 price tag for kit. One or two wraps around the provided spindle and its a wrap. The spindle has plenty room for more...I guess this is where we're suppose to find one lying around or exercise novelty purchasimg another one?. The poduct packaging does not provide any of the cord specs/info, length anywhere! Shame on me! February 14, 2013

Answer:
Our lab has tested this wall USB charger with the Kindle and it does work. The device, in this case the Kindle, only pulls the power it needs. As long as the charger has an amperage that meets or exceeds the specifications of your device, it will charge.

Answer:
Our chargers go into a low power usage mode once your phone is fully charged. The charger does continue to draw a very small amount of power when it is plugged in and not charging a device.

Answer:
The power consumption will drop by up to 99%. The charger uses 50mW during standby. A device that draws 5W while charging will see the 99% decrease. The percentage will be lower for devices that draw less power.
