Water: at least sixteen 8 oz. bottles per person per day for 3 to 7 days
Food: enough for at least 3 to 7 days
  • Nonelectric can opener
  • Cooking tools & fuel
  • Paper plates & plastic utensils
Blankets and pillows
Clothing: seasonal / rain gear / sturdy shoes
First Aid Kit, including medicines and prescription drugs
Specialty items for infants and the elderly: diapers, formula and hearing aids / health devices
Energizer® Flashlight / Energizer® Batteries
  • Most flashlights require D or AA batteries,
    but some may require C or AAA batteries.
Energi To Go® Instant Cell Phone Charger / Energizer® Ultimate Lithium batteries
Replacement batteries for critical-care devices
  • Hearing aids and blood glucose monitors
Cash (with some small bills): banks and ATMs may not be open or available for extended periods
Keep important documents in a waterproof container or watertight resealable plastic bag: insurance papers, medical records, bank account numbers, Social Security card(s), etc.
Pictures of family members and pets, in the event of separation
Vehicle fuel tanks filled
Pet care items
